Itinerary

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by a representative who will assist you with your transfer to the hotel. Take this day to relax and acclimatize to the altitude. You might want to explore the vibrant streets of Thamel, a bustling area filled with shops, cafes, and restaurants. Here, you can savor a traditional Nepali meal, such as Dal Bhat or Momos, while soaking in the local culture. After a day of exploration, return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will embark on an early morning drive to Syabrubesi, the gateway to the Langtang Valley Trek. The journey takes approximately 7-8 hours, winding through picturesque landscapes and offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains, including Manaslu and Ganesh Himal. Upon arrival in Syabrubesi, you can settle into your tea house and enjoy the serene atmosphere as you prepare for the trekking adventure ahead.

Today marks the beginning of your trek as you set off from Syabrubesi towards Lama Hotel. The trail follows the Langtang Khola, leading you through lush forests filled with rhododendrons and oak trees. You will cross several suspension bridges and gradually ascend along the river valley. After about 5-6 hours of trekking, you will reach Lama Hotel, where you can relax and enjoy a warm meal at a local tea house.

On this day, you will continue your ascent towards Langtang Village. The trek takes approximately 6 hours as you pass through dense forests and charming settlements. Along the way, take in breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks and experience the local culture as you pass by friendly villagers. Upon reaching Langtang Village, which has been rebuilt after the 2015 earthquake, you can explore the area and enjoy stunning views of Langtang Lirung towering above.

Today’s trek is relatively short but incredibly rewarding as you make your way to Kyanjin Gompa, a significant monastery in the region. The hike takes about 2 hours and offers spectacular views of the majestic mountains surrounding you. Once at Kyanjin Gompa, take time to explore the monastery and its surroundings. In the afternoon, consider visiting nearby glaciers or simply relax and soak in the breathtaking scenery.

This day is dedicated to acclimatization at Kyanjin Gompa. You have several options for activities; one popular choice is to hike up to Kyanjin Ri (4,773 m), where you'll be rewarded with panoramic views of the Langtang range. Alternatively, you can explore nearby areas or visit local cheese factories to learn about traditional cheese-making processes. This day allows your body to adjust to the altitude while enjoying the stunning landscapes around Kyanjin.

After enjoying your time at Kyanjin Gompa, it’s time to retrace your steps back down to Lama Hotel. The return trek covers approximately 13.5 km and takes around 6 hours. As you descend through familiar trails surrounded by beautiful forests and valleys, take in different perspectives of the landscapes you've previously traversed. Upon reaching Lama Hotel, relax and reflect on your incredible journey through Langtang Valley.

On your final trekking day, you will continue your descent back to Syabrubesi from the Lama Hotel. This approximately 15.7 km trek will take about 5 hours as you pass through charming villages and lush greenery once more. Enjoy the last glimpses of the stunning scenery before arriving back in Syabrubesi. Here, you can celebrate your successful trek with fellow trekkers at a local tea house.

After breakfast in Syabrubesi, prepare for your drive back to Kathmandu. The journey takes around 7-8 hours and offers one last opportunity to enjoy the beautiful landscapes of Nepal.
