Accommodations:
Global Nepal Treks, our top priority is ensuring our guests receive superior service, which has made us a leading name in the industry. We offer a range of accommodation options tailored to our guests' preferences and needs. In Kathmandu, we provide stays in luxurious star hotels or cozy guest houses, depending on your requirements. During the trek, we ensure comfortable lodging in standard guest houses, ensuring a peaceful environment and serving hygienic food to keep our guests healthy and satisfied. In the Langtang region, a prime destination known for its cultural significance and unique trekking experiences, we ensure even better lodge facilities during the Langtang Mini Trek.
Meals:
Nepal boasts a culinary paradise, particularly in urban areas like Kathmandu. Here, a variety of restaurants offer diverse cuisines to satisfy every palate. During the trek, we provide meals from both Continental and Nepali menus, featuring options such as pasta, pizza, momo, soups, potato dishes, dal bhat, and hot beverages like tea and coffee.
Our Team:
Navigating the challenging terrain and conditions of the Himalayas requires expert guidance and support. At Global Nepal Treks, our team comprises experienced local leaders and staff who have mastered these routes over many years. Certified by the Government of Nepal and equipped with emergency training, including first aid, our staff ensures the safety and well-being of our guests throughout the journey. We provide insurance and medical services for all our staff, including porters and kitchen staff, to ensure their welfare and security.
Field Staff:
To guarantee our guests' comfort during the trek, we maintain an appropriate ratio of field staff. This includes guides, porters, assistance guides, and camping members. Depending on the group size and requirements, we allocate one assistance guide for every 4-9 guests and two assistance guides for groups of 10 or more. Our porters are strong and reliable, carrying a maximum weight limit of 25 kg per porter. Our guides and leaders are proficient in multiple languages, ensuring effective communication with guests from various backgrounds.
Best Season to Trek in Nepal:
The optimal seasons for trekking in Nepal are autumn (September to November) and spring (March to May), characterized by clear weather and moderate temperatures, providing unobstructed views of the stunning landscapes. However, trekking is also feasible during summer (June to August) and winter (December to February), with certain regions like Mustang, Dolpo, and Nar-Phu Valley being ideal due to their rain shadow areas and comfortable weather conditions.
Experience & Fitness:
Trekking in Nepal, including the Langtang Mini Trek, does not necessarily require prior experience. However, it's essential to maintain a reasonable level of fitness and undertake basic training such as running and skipping to prepare for the challenges of high altitudes and rocky terrain. Our itineraries are designed to accommodate comfortable walking distances and include adequate rest and acclimatization periods.
Acclimatization:
Altitude sickness is a potential risk when trekking at elevations above 2,500 meters. To mitigate this, we incorporate acclimatization days into our itineraries, allowing trekkers to adapt gradually to higher altitudes. Additionally, our guides are trained to recognize symptoms of altitude sickness and provide necessary assistance and medical support. In case of emergencies, we arrange helicopter rescue services for guests requiring immediate evacuation.
Eco-Friendly:
At Global Nepal Treks, we are committed to preserving the environment and reducing our ecological footprint. During treks, particularly in camping setups, we meticulously manage waste disposal, ensuring all rubbish is collected and properly disposed of to protect the natural surroundings. We actively participate in environmental initiatives, including the Kathmandu Environmental Education Project, and advocate for sustainable practices to combat global warming.
Helping Hand:
Beyond profit, we are dedicated to supporting local communities across Nepal, providing assistance with education and essential resources to improve their quality of life. We invite interested individuals to join us in this endeavor by contributing as a helping hand to uplift and inspire these communities. For more information on how to get involved, please contact us at info@globalnepaltreks.com. Your support can make a significant difference in the lives of those in need.
Note:
Our Langtang Mini Trek program offers flexibility in itinerary customization to accommodate your holiday schedule and preferences. The health and well-being of our guests remain our utmost priority, and we prioritize safety without compromising on the trekking experience. While trekking in the Everest region may present unexpected challenges, rest assured that our professional guides and leaders are equipped to navigate any complications, ensuring your journey concludes safely and successfully. We kindly request your cooperation with our guides to ensure your protection throughout the trek.
