The Everest View Trek is a special trek where holiday travelers can see 8848m / 29,028 Mt. Everest, the highest mountain in the world. This trek takes you to the best possible view point of Everest range. You’ll encounter lush valleys and remarkable rivers, hike over a suspension bridge and encounter magnificent flora and fauna. Mount Everest is situated on the border of Nepal and China with about half of the mountain lying on each side of the border. The Everest view trek approach is from Lukla and is a short and relatively easy trek to explore the valley trails and take in amazing views of the Everest /Himalayan Range. There are also many mountains located in the Khumbu Region above eight thousand meters. This is an ideal trekking for those who want to experience the beauty of the Himalaya and the culture of the local people living there.

The Everest View Trek starts with a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. Lukla is the buddhiest mountain airport and sits at 2,827m. Lukla serves as the gateway for the Everest region and your trek starts in the lush vegetation of Sagarmatha National Park, which contains a wide range of flora and fauna. You’ll enjoy the sight of pine forests, rhododendron flowers and an abundance of wildlife on our way to Namche Bazaar at 3,440m. After a brief rest in Namche Bazaar your trek continues towards Tyanngboche Monastery which is at 3,860m. This is one of the highlights of the Everest View Trek. Tyangboche Monastery is home to the highest Buddhist Monastery in the Khumbu region and is also considered the best spot in Nepal to take in and photograph Everest and its neighboring peaks which are mostly above eight thousand meters. From there we head to Khumjung, the wonderful village of the Sherpa people. Here you will get an opportunity to see the authentic Sherpa culture and their traditional life style. You’ll experience Buddhist Monasteries, the Hillary School and the rare Yaks. We’ll also make you familiar with the famous myth of Yeti… and who knows you might just see one too! We also include acclimatization days on your trek in order to minimize your risk of altitude sickness

Best Season of Trek in Nepal:
Autumn (September - November) and spring (March - May) are the best trekking season in Nepal. The weather is mostly clear and temperatures are moderate which offers beautiful views of the mountains without any obstruction. Spring brings beautiful flowers, plants and rare animals; the trekking is also much more suitable to most people during this season.

Summer (June - August) and Winter (December - February), although summer brings heavy monsoon rainfall it is typically very clear in the Mustang, Dolpo and Nar- Phu valleys since they are rain shadow areas. Tibet is also a favorable area for trekking if this is of interest. Everest, Langtang and Annapurna regions are always good for trekking even in the winter season.

Experience & Fitness:
Trekking in Nepal and specifically for views of Mount Everest on the Base Camp Trek does not require much experience, although the route is challenging compared to Annapurna, our itinerary includes only walking comfortable distances. Trekking in the Himalayas always takes us to altitude and he sometimes rocky routes demands proper rest time and acclimatization to sustain your strength. We always ensure we allow time for both in our itinerary. Certain pre-training like running, skipping and other cardio workouts will definitely help you in the long run.

Altitude sickness is a significant risk factor when trekking on any trails above 2500 meters. Good health, proper care and drinking plenty of water will definitely help you to prevent your chances of getting altitude sickness. Every trekker needs to be comfortable with the elevations so for this we have built in acclimatization days during the trek and on all peak climbing and expeditions. We also provide certain medical support for your comfort and emergency rescue via helicopter whenever the situation requires it.

Eco Friendly:
We only leave foot prints! Global Nepal Treks is very concerned about the environmental pollution and global warming. We are very serious about our collection and disposal of garbage during the trek especially when camping. We collect all the rubbish and deposit it in the proper place to protect our environment. We also partake in a program called KEEP Kathmandu Environmental Education Project.

Helping Hand:
Profit is not our only priority! We have been helping some of our fellow villagers from different corners of Nepal to sustain their social life and help them with education and required materials. We are always looking for interested candidates to provide a helping hand to support, inspire and enable them to create a better future for themselves. If you are interested please contact us: info@globalnepaltreks.com
