Things That You Need to Know
Daily Yoga & Meditation Routine:
The trek follows a structured daily routine for yoga and wellness: Wake up with self-practice, followed by guided morning meditation, stretching, a full yoga session (asanas, pranayama), healthy breakfast, mindful trekking with breaks for breathing exercises and healthy snacks, afternoon trekking, optional open-air nature meditation, complete guided relaxation (Yoga Nidra), healthy dinner, and discussion of the next day's program.
Duration & Difficulty:
The trek is 14 days long, following the classic EBC route. It is considered moderately challenging. A good level of fitness is required for the trekking, but the yoga practice helps with flexibility, relaxation, and acclimatization. No prior yoga experience is necessary.
Altitude:
The maximum altitude reached is Kala Patthar at 5,545 meters (18,192 feet). Proper acclimatization, built into the itinerary, is crucial. The yoga and breathing practices can be beneficial for managing the effects of high altitude.
Best Season:
The best time is during Spring (March to May) and Autumn (September to November) for stable weather and clear mountain views. These seasons offer the best conditions for both trekking and outdoor yoga practice.
Accommodation & Meals:
Accommodation is in comfortable tea houses/lodges during the trek (12 nights) and in a Kathmandu hotel (2 nights). The package includes 3 healthy meals a day during the trek, plus healthy snacks like fresh fruit, nuts, and cheese carried by the team.
