The Classic Bhutan Trek offers an enchanting journey through the dramatic landscapes, ancient monasteries, and rich culture of the Land of the Thunder Dragon. This 12-day trek combines challenging mountain routes with spiritual experiences, providing trekkers with a unique blend of adventure and cultural immersion.
The journey begins with arrival in Paro, followed by a hike to the iconic Taktshang Monastery (Tiger's Nest), one of Bhutan's most sacred sites perched on a cliffside. After acclimatizing, the trek continues through Drugyel Dzong and remote valleys, passing traditional villages and alpine landscapes while gradually ascending toward Jangothang, a scenic resting point with breathtaking views of Mount Jomolhari.
After a rest day at Jangothang, trekkers continue their journey over high mountain passes like Nyile La, passing through Lingshi, Shodu, and Barshong. This section of the trek reveals Bhutan's pristine wilderness, including high-altitude lakes like Tsho Phu, lush forests, and culturally rich settlements. The trek concludes with a drive to Thimphu for sightseeing, visiting key sites like the Tashichho Dzong, followed by a return to Paro for departure.

Things That You Need to Know
Duration & Difficulty:
This is a 12-day trek with a challenging rating due to high-altitude passes (up to 4,930m) and multi-day trekking. It requires good physical fitness and some prior trekking experience. Proper acclimatization is built into the itinerary.
Best Season:
The optimal time is during spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) when the weather is pleasant, skies are clear, and the views of the eastern Himalayas, including Mount Jomolhari, are spectacular.
Accommodation & Meals:
The package includes comfortable hotel stays in Paro and Thimphu on a bed & breakfast basis. During the trek, accommodation is in tea houses (lodges) or tents, with three meals a day (breakfast, lunch, dinner) provided, including tea/coffee and afternoon tea with cookies.
Permits & Visa:
All visitors to Bhutan require a visa, which must be arranged through a licensed Bhutanese tour operator. This is included in the package process. A licensed Bhutanese guide is mandatory for all tourists and is provided.
