The adventure begins with a scenic flight to Lukla, followed by the classic trekking trail through the Khumbu region. Things That You Need to Know
Duration & Difficulty:
The Everest Heli Trek is an 11-day package. It is a challenging trek requiring a moderate to high level of physical fitness, as it involves trekking to altitudes over 5,500m. The helicopter return eliminates the long descent, but the ascent is physically demanding.
Altitude:
The maximum altitude reached is Kala Patthar at 5,545 meters (18,192 feet). Proper acclimatization, built into the itinerary, is absolutely critical.
Best Season:
The best times are Spring (March to May) and Autumn (September to November) for the clearest skies, most stable weather, and safest helicopter operations.
Accommodation & Meals:
Accommodation during the trek is in comfortable tea houses or lodges. The package includes three meals a day during the trek, plus hotel stays in Kathmandu with breakfast and a farewell dinner.
Permits Required:
You will need the Sagarmatha National Park entry permit and a TIMS (Trekkers Information Management System) card. These are included in our package.
Helicopter Flight:
A key highlight is the one-way helicopter flight from Gorakshep to Lukla, providing stunning aerial views and saving several days of walking. This flight is included in the package.
