Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve is located in eastern Nepal's Terai region, spanning 176 km² across Sunsari, Saptari, and Udayapur districts. Established in 1976 and recognized as a Ramsar site in 1987, Koshi Tappu is home to Nepal's last remaining wild water buffalo herd (Bubalus arnee) and offers a unique destination for wildlife and bird enthusiasts.
