The Ganesh Himal Trek is a popular and rewarding trekking route in Nepal, offering breathtaking views of the Ganesh Himal range, named after the Hindu deity Ganesh. This trek takes you through remote villages, lush forests, terraced fields, and high mountain passes, providing an authentic and less-crowded experience of Nepalese culture and natural beauty.
The journey begins in Kathmandu with cultural sightseeing, followed by a scenic drive to Syabrubesi. The trek winds through picturesque Tamang and Gurung villages like Gatlang and Tipling, where you can experience local hospitality and culture. Highlights include visiting natural hot springs, exploring diverse forests of rhododendron, oak, and pine, and crossing high points with stunning mountain panoramas.
A major highlight is reaching the area near Ganesh Himal Base Camp (Nojet Kharka), with spectacular close-up views of Ganesh I, II, III, IV, and neighboring peaks like Langtang Lirung. The trek also features the sacred Parvati Lake (twin lakes, white and black), adding a spiritual dimension to the adventure. The return journey offers different perspectives through varied landscapes and villages, concluding with a drive back to Kathmandu.

Things That You Need to Know
Duration & Difficulty:
The Ganesh Himal Trek is a 21-day journey. It is considered moderately challenging, with varying terrain, steep ascents/descents, and high-altitude sections. Good physical condition and some prior trekking experience are highly recommended.
Altitude:
The highest points reached include Pangsang La Pass and areas near Ganesh Himal Base Camp, around 4,500-4,800 meters. Proper acclimatization, built into the itinerary, is essential.
Best Season:
The best times are Spring (March to May) and Autumn (September to November), offering stable weather and clear skies for optimal mountain views.
Accommodation & Meals:
Accommodation includes tea houses/lodges in villages and camping in more remote sections. The package includes three meals a day during the trek and a farewell dinner in Kathmandu.
Permits Required:
You will need the Langtang National Park entry permit and a TIMS (Trekkers Information Management System) card. These are included in our package and will be arranged for you.
Sacred Sites & Culture:
The trek offers encounters with Tamang and Gurung cultures and features the sacred Parvati Lake. Respect for local customs and traditions is essential.
