The Ganesh Himal Trek is a hidden gem in the central Himalayas of Nepal, offering trekkers stunning mountain panoramas, remote villages, and rich cultural experiences. The journey begins in Kathmandu, with sightseeing of the Kathmandu Valley's cultural landmarks. The trek starts with a drive to Betrawati, followed by gradual ascents through scenic villages such as Chapdanda, Bhalche, Gonga, and Rupchet, allowing proper acclimatization and immersion into the local way of life. Trekkers experience challenging high passes such as Singla Bhanjyang (4,750 m) and Pansang Bhanjyang (4,000 m), while enjoying panoramic views of Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Manaslu, and even Annapurna peaks.
The descent passes through villages including Tipling, Sertung, Sapchet, Darkha, Lapang, Khahare, Arughat, Khanchok, and the historic town of Gorkha, home to the famous Gorkha Durbar. This offers rich encounters with rural Nepalese communities, their traditions, and a chance to experience the warm hospitality of ethnic groups like the Tamang and Gurung people. The trek concludes with a scenic drive back to Kathmandu, ending with a farewell dinner featuring traditional Nepali culture.

Things That You Need to Know
Duration & Distance:
The Ganesh Himal Trek typically ranges from 18 to 22 days, depending on the specific itinerary and pace. Our detailed 22-day itinerary allows for a comprehensive exploration, proper acclimatization, and a safe, enjoyable experience.
Altitude & Difficulty:
The maximum altitude reached is Singla Bhanjyang at approximately 4,750 meters (15,580 feet). This trek is considered moderately challenging. While prior trekking experience is not strictly mandatory, a good level of fitness and some experience with hiking on uneven terrain are highly recommended due to the high passes and varied terrain.
Best Season:
The best time for this trek is during Spring (March to May) and Autumn (September to November) when the weather is stable, clear, and offers the best mountain views. These seasons provide ideal conditions for crossing the passes.
Permits Required:
You will need the Langtang National Park entry permit and a TIMS (Trekkers Information Management System) card. These are included in our package and will be arranged for you.
Accommodation:
Accommodation is provided in tea houses (lodges) along the route, offering basic amenities such as meals and bedding. In some sections, camping may be required as per the trek type. The package includes accommodation in a hotel in Kathmandu.
Altitude Sickness:
While the risk of altitude sickness is relatively lower compared to very high-altitude treks, it is still a consideration, especially when crossing the passes. Our itinerary is designed with proper acclimatization. Our guides are trained to recognize symptoms and provide necessary assistance.

The region is rich in Tamang and Tibetan Buddhist culture.
