Things That You Need to Know
Duration & Difficulty:
This is a 15-day tour that includes a challenging 3-day Kora (circumambulation) trek around Mount Kailash at altitudes over 5,600m. It requires good physical fitness, stamina, and proper acclimatization.
Best Season:
The best time is from May to September, when the weather is most favorable for crossing the high Dolma La Pass and the Kora is accessible.
Accommodation & Meals:
The package includes twin-sharing hotel/guesthouse accommodation in Tibet on a full-board basis (all meals) during the Yatra. Quality food is provided. In Kathmandu, accommodation is on a bed & breakfast plan.
Permits & Visa:
Travelers need a Tibet/China visa and a Tibet Travel Permit, which are not included. A Nepal re-entry visa fee also applies upon return.
