Muktinath Pilgrimage Tour
Muktinath Pilgrimage Tour Overview
The Muktinath Pilgrimage Tour is designed for devotees seeking salvation (Moksha) at one of the holiest sites in Hinduism and Buddhism. Muktinath, meaning “Lord of Liberation”, is located at the base of Thorong La Pass in Mustang district at an altitude of 3,800m. Hindus believe a visit here frees the soul from the cycle of birth and rebirth, while Buddhists revere it as a sacred place of Guru Rinpoche.
This 5‑day tour begins in Kathmandu with a visit to the evening aarti at Pashupatinath Temple. You then travel to Pokhara (by road or flight), enjoy boating on Phewa Lake, and fly to Jomsom. From Jomsom, a jeep drive takes you to Muktinath Temple. You will have time for darshan, puja, and to experience the holy 108 water spouts (Mukti Dhara), the Jwala Mai Temple (eternal flame burning from rock), and the two sacred ponds (Mukti Kunda). After the pilgrimage, you return to Jomsom, fly back to Pokhara, and then to Kathmandu.
The package includes comfortable accommodation, private transport, domestic flights (Pokhara–Jomsom–Pokhara), all permits, and an experienced English/Hindi‑speaking guide. This tour is suitable for all ages and fitness levels.
